Victor Cervantes

Victor Cervantes is a street photographer and filmmaker from Havana, Cuba. He brings an incredible passion for his city and its people that shines through his work. The key is the strong connection he makes with his subjects as he captures so many different aspects of life in this incredibly vibrant and unique city.

Victor also makes and sells colour grading presets for photo and video and he runs photo tours to Cuba and photo walks in Havana.

“My name is Víctor Cervantes, and I am a street and documentary photographer from Havana, Cuba.

For over 12 years, I have been capturing the life and essence of Cuba, striving to deepen my understanding of our culture and people through photography.

My work primarily focuses on daily life and the stories of ordinary Cubans, highlighting the beauty and resilience found in everyday moments.”

Victor’s interest in photography was inspired by his father Manuel, also a photographer, who began shooting in the 1980s. We are proud to present some of Manuel’s earlier work shot on film and some later digital images he shot with men that make a living from small fishing boats in his home city.
